Mind Mapping

The industry of Mind Mapping software has grown at an unprecedented rate. There have been numerous softwares created to fulfill this new niche of customers. From Open Source, to freeware, to shareware, there are lots of applications to try out. Personally I like to recommend most Open Source software as they are the best types of softwares created. Of course that doesn't mean it's the leading type of software. The big fish taking over the market is MindManager, which according to Wikipedia, takes up 72.6% of the users. Freemind is an OpenSource alternative and accounts for a little less than 10.4%. Feel free to try them out.

There have been recent studies that show that the use of these tools could improve your learning by up to 15%. Some are 2d, others come in 3d, and others are web based. More info on Mind Mapping software can be found here.
