Ubuntu! An alternative to Windows and Mac

Are you tired of all the Viruses, Spy-ware and Ad-ware Plaguing your Windows Installation? Ever though about switching to another Operating System, but never could afford the time and patience it takes to learning all of the ins and outs?

There are three operating systems people tend to use. The ever so popular "Windows XP and/or Vista," the competition "Mac OS X," and the renegade "Linux." Windows has been around forever, it's the best OS for dumber people, plus it already comes installed when you purchase a new comp, not to mention the amount of software that's available. Macs, on the other hand, tend to go for users who are already tired of Windows, and seek a more advanced OS. Mac OS X, like it or not Window Users, is much better than XP! Actually it was voted by PC Magazine has one of the best products for 2006. The downside to these two OS is the amount of viruses targeted at these users. Its a huge annoyance trying to get rid of malicious software while trying to get some work done. AND, these OS come with their own applications that they WANT you to use right out of the box. Leaving the advanced user having to download and install the better software that's out there, which is usually Open Source Software.

What about Linux? For startes, Viruses are non existent to this OS, as is Spy-ware and Ad-ware in general. It's Open Source, which means people from all over the world get together and contribute to it's development. In my opinion that makes it safe, fast, and secure! It's geared toward people that want to liberate from all the commercial hype the other OS come with. It's either them or them right? Not with Linux it isn't! Apart from the fact that it's available to anyone, anytime, anywhere, it doesn't cost a cent, penny, or nickel! Now there are many distributions out there, that require expertise in setting up the installation, but there is one that is starting to take this process a whole lot simpler. Ubuntu, widely known by many, including myself, as the best Linux distribution to date, will make you want to drop Windows from the start, and Mac of course. Why? Because its geared to both novice and advanced users at the same time. The eye candy that comes pre-installed, the software, the ease of use, the GUI, everything has been nicely done.

Ubuntu is a term from Africa meaning "Humanity to others," or ,"I am what I am because of who we all are" and it will most likely become the one Linux distro that will have many people switching over. It's Open Source software, and just like Firefox, has a really nice and helpful community helping out on the development of the project.

I must say, that I consider Open Source Software the best kind of software that exists! Safe, secure, and even fun are just a some words being used by it's users. So if you would like to give Ubuntu a try. Get going! There's even an installer called Wubi that will install Ubuntu on your Windows XP so that you can switch back and forth whenever you want! Go ahead, give it a try, oh and did I mention the project leaders provide COMMERCIAL SUPPORT from hundreds companies worldwide! Not that you would need it considering the community that revolves around it. Any question is quickly answered in the Fourms! The team is also throwing in security updates for at least 18 months. Of course that might change as time goes on and more users get involved. Take it from me and try it out, come on you won't regret it!

Sure fire way to Succeed Online

Why is it that some people find success online, while others are still trying to penetrate the online world? Either with Blogs, Affiliate Marketing, E-Commerce Sites, Adsense Arbitrage, etc... As I have come across plenty of people who are still getting their feet wet, they're still asking themselves one question, what am I missing?

I have also asked myself that question, and the answer is easy for those that are still new to this business world. A MENTOR! Someone that has already been there and can teach you the ropes. This is still a new world for the businessman, and yes my friend, in order for you to succeed online, you must think of yourself as a business, or else this is only a hobby for you and you are not the "real deal." So, if this is a hobby, I ask you right now to stop reading, this isn't for you.

So what do I mean by a mentor? This is a person who is making at least a 6 figure income on the web. This person knows everything there is to know. These guys go by the name of, "Guru." These Gurus know how to do just about everything. These guys started real small, worked at it real hard, and made a killing with their effort. All these guys will tell you the same thing. PUT IN THE WORK! Some people start at it, realize that it isn't an overnight deal, and give up. Well if this were easy, then anyone could do it. In real life, it takes effort, some level of intelligence, and common sense.

A mentor is someone who will take you under their wing, teach you most of what they know about making money online, and will get you where you need to be in order for you to succeed.

So guys, get yourself a mentor, and this will ensure your success. Some charge, some are willing to do it for free, some you will have to make a deal with, but there are so many people out there making a good buck, and some of them will jump at the chance of having an apprentice. So get at it, no time to waste!

"If you BLOG it, they will PAY..." Blogvertise will Pay!

Many people are generally aware of Google's and Yahoo's advertisement programs. Usually each click can net some web masters a couple of hundred dollars per month. For the beginner blog, however, those clicks might equal of up to around $10 to $30 dollars on the first month and, with enough effort, a steady increase each month after that.

A much better and more rewarding method of earning an income via blogging has become a fad for most daily posters. It's getting paid for Blogging, simple as that. The downside to most services is that they require an active blog for at least 2 - 3 months, others asks for high traffic, average google pagerank, registered under google's search engine, etc... I've recently reviewed a service called Blogsvertise where the requirements are not such a headache like the others! No kidding. You see Blogvertise is slightly more lenient in requirements, and getting started is a snatch. I wonder how many people are using this service?

PayPal's Unpopular Practices

PayPal sends these types of EMAIL all the time:

PayPal as a regulated financial services company is required under law to assess its customers against certain lists of individuals and entities which have had sanctions imposed against them. PayPal as a financial institution is required to comply with these regulations in multiple jurisdictions where we do business.

Where a potential name match is identified, PayPal's policy is to lock the account and request further identifying documentation. The decision to lock your account has been taken solely by PayPal in line with its compliance policy in regards to the legislation covering financial sanctions.

We decided to take a closer look at this and started a Google search regarding PayPal freezing accounts. We came across a couple of sites that host, "PayPal horror stories." One story really struck me. Apparently, PayPal has had terrible dealings with customers in the past. Complaints range from unnecessary locking of accounts and/or funds, to mishandling of their customer's money. PayPal went to court for this. They were forced to pay $9.25 Million Dollars in damages to more than 10,000 PayPal accounts. PayPal simply walked away after paying the settlement.

A little further into the Google Search I discovered that PayPal has been known to block donations for the Katrina victims, up to $30,000, from the popular website something awful. One word for the victims: Ouch.

It's understandable the need to safeguard the company and to point out fraudulent use whenever it occurs. However, PayPal really needs to get better at it and change its practices if it plans to have loyal customers in the future.

For people who are in need of a merchant account, check this place out. For those of you that need to transfer money worldwide, iKobo is a great alternative.

Everyone Owns the Fastest Computer on Earth!

You might or might not now know this, but MOST people own a computer that is a whole lot faster than the one used to send Apollo 11 to the Moon in the 1960s! That's how much technology has evolved, and all thanks to the Government. And it's only gonna get better. Computers are evolving extremely fast. However, our current material computers come no where near the amazing piece of blubbery fat sitting between your shoulders.

You gotta ask yourself. What's the fastest computer on earth right now? Well not only does EVERYONE own one, it's free. That's because your born with it. It's the Brain! Your brain, unlike Windows and other programs, makes zero mistakes. It can understand multiple languages, listen to any speaker, vocalize sound, process complex visual images and more. My labtop sure as heck can't do all that. I know for sure that my labtop can't have sex and consider raising a family. Now imagine the day we invent something that can do everything I just mentioned. It might be something like that Movie AI from Steven Spielberg. They might even turn on us in the future!!! Ok just kidding. Hehe :)

BlogCharm's New Approach to The Term, "Blogging for Profit."

BlogCharm asks a real simple question: "Why should blog hosts keep all of the revenue when it is the bloggers that do all of the hard work?"

BlogCharm plans to take a much different approach to the term, "Blogging for Profit." It's part of their mission statement, "Why not get paid for something you love to do," Now, there are people out here that feel that that's just plain evil, how could anyone stood so low, blahbidi blah. Honestly, companies are making money of of us, what is wrong with bloggers making money as well.

There's just something completley wrong with this picture that really prevented me to take part in this. You would have to host the blog with their hosting service. In other words for those who already have a blog... you would have to start all over.On the positive side, they plan to share profits 50/50. That's pretty good considering the fact that all you're doing is writing, and they take care of hosting, finding the clients, provide support, etc... Apparently the forum does have quite a bit of activity. If anyone checks it out please tell me about it.
